Bill 208 (Designated Substance) Surveys
Prior to the commencement of construction on a building or property (site), an owner is responsible to provide all prospective contractors and sub-contractors with a copy of a Designated (hazardous) Substance Survey of that site. This is a requirement of the amendment of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Workers Compensation Act which is known as Bill 208. Constructors are also required to provide this survey to any contractors or sub-contractors prior to entering any binding agreement.
